We'll remind you to get important vaccinations, like flu and pneumonia shots.

Case Management Services

Individually assigned nurse case managers will work with you and coordinate with your physicians so you can get well and stay healthy (available for certain medical conditions). Some of the programs available include:

HealthNurse Health Line - Talk directly with experienced Aetna Rregistered Nurses nurses 24-hours a day. Our nurses can share information on thousands of health topics and discuss your health related concerns.

You can:

  • Obtain information on health-related topics
  • Improve the way you communicate with your health care providers
  • Describe health symptoms more effectively and ask the right questions
  • Learn how to provide a clear history of your eating, exercise and lifestyle habits.

Disease Management

Provides access to individualized clinical programs to help you learn to manage your chronic health conditions. Health information programs provide general health information and are not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a physician or other health care professional.

National Medical Excellence Program® - If approved for this program, you can gain access to our national network of respected doctors and facilities (for those with a complex illness such as a solid organ or stem cell transplants).

Numbers To Know® - Promotes the benefits of blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring. The reminder is sent to members diagnosed with high blood pressure. A wallet card is included to help members track blood pressure, cholesterol, medication and dosage information.

Aetna Medicare is a PDP, HMO, PPO plan with a Medicare contract. Our SNPs also have contracts with State Medicaid programs. Enrollment in Aetna Medicare depends on contract renewal.

You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium. The Part B premium is covered for full-dual members.

Benefits, formulary, pharmacy network, provider network, premium and/or copayments/coinsurance may change on January 1 of each year.

You may have the option to use mail-order. For mail-order, you can get prescription drugs shipped to your home through the network mail-order delivery program. Typically, mail-order drugs arrive within 7 to 14 days. Please call us if you do not receive your mail-order drugs within this timeframe. Aetna members, please call if you do not receive your mail-order drugs within this timeframe. Members may have the option to sign-up for automated mail-order delivery. For Customer Service call the number on the back of your ID card.

Cost sharing for members who get "Extra Help" is the same at preferred and network pharmacies.

The Formulary, pharmacy network, and/or provider network may change at any time. You will receive notice when necessary.
